Army on Tuesday paid tributes to five soldiers killed in a Fidayeen attack on Sunjuwan army base in Jammu. The mortal remains of slain army men belonging to Kashmir who were killed in the militant attack at Sunjuwan army camp were brought to Kashmir today, said an army spokesperson.
In a statement, an army spokesperson said wreath-laying ceremony for the slain was held at JAKLI Regimental Centre in Srinagar, wherein wreaths were laid on behalf of Lt Gen AK Bhatt, GOC 15 Corps and Lt Gen Satish Dua, Colonel of the JAK LI Regiment. After the wreath-laying ceremony, the mortal remains of the slain army men were taken to their respective native places, said an army spokesperson.
Four army men-Subedar Mohd Ashraf Mir, Hav Habibullah Qureshi, Nk Manzoor Ahmed Deva and L/Nk Mohd Iqbal Sheikh were killed in the Sunjuwan attack, army mentioned in the statement.
